Why isn't Sanders running as an Independent?

I agree but this country is a two party country and the way its set up an independent won't be elected President. It just won't happen
Bernie could have been the one to make that push for a third party wave though.
Imagine how big it would have been if he was still able to get the levels of support he is getting while running as an Independent?

Imagine if Trump broke away from the Republican party with all the momentum he has now? He can break down the GOP as we know it.

But Sanders had no choice but to go Democrat because people are too narrow minded about the third parties.

Sanders is not running as an Independent because he then would not be able to avail himself of the benefits that come from being a part of the two party structure. Plus running as a Dem gives him access to all of the systemic perks that the DNC provides to campaigns.
It does make his constant complaining about the Democratic Primary process a bit hollow though. You really can't whine about a system that you freely chose to enter into as a means of benefiting your campaign.
Right again :wow:

Sanders has outright stated this like 30 times. He doesn't want to be a Ralph Nader type spoiler in the general election. He, incorrectly imo, blames Nader for causing gores loss in 2000 that brought us Iraq.

This is a troll thread but it's really priceless to watch liberals take this line of argument shamelessly after saying for years and years that if Nader wanted his voice heard he should run in the primaries.

And HRC would lose, very badly, if sanders did go third party at this point.

That's kind of like when Jay said he dumbed down his lyrics to double his dollars. Right?
