Cuz he can’t rap on beat

None of these newer Detroit nikkas can. They just talk on beats. Some of them actually say shyt though (Babyface Ray, Rio, Cash Kidd) but Tee Grizzly yea straight ass sandwiches.

Ever. He just isn't that good honestly. Vezzo and ray is better in every way and don't get me started on payroll.

He's on big quis level to me at best

What are some modern day Detroit rappers I should listen to?

I like that Detroit style of rapping, want more of that in my music library

True but he paved a way for national exposure of Detroit trap rap for that era. Sure, you had the dej loaf, Doughboy before that. But 2017 on, Tee and Helluva made a different era. 42, was local back then. Ray had buzz in the underground sense because of Team Eastside. But not like he is today Flint rap wasn't known either
Dex osama brung the light back to Detroit.

flint rap is from Peezy tree

peezy and ray and vezzo and them been bubbling and stayed grinding for years to get where they at now. Tee did his thing but he ain’t blow the city up.

He was known for rappin local but he never was hotter than team eastside. They made detroit nikkas wanna rap

Main reasons imo is he isolated hisself from the detroit music scene...and when he said fukk tooka that turned alotta nikkas off lowkey
Never heard of tee before first day out.

I agree Dex brought light to Detroit. But he still was underground when he passed. I'm not trying to negate its people before Tee who have been grinding. But I disagree on the impact that First Day out had. You had people like Lebron, Jay Z talking about First Day Out. Helluva got to work with big artists. Helluva convo with Gotti lead to Dugg getting signed.

I agree on the impact Peezy had on Flint rap. But again, I believe 2017 set in motion what we had today. That doesn't negate the artists that were already building their audience.

He drops gems in every track he's on. None of that running off on the plug goofball shyt either. He seems like a truly stand up dude.

Real grown man rap :ehh:

As far as albums go:

Giovanni's Way
Game Related (Cardo produced with Larry June and HBK)
Big Bossin Volumes 2 & 1 (Both produced by Cardo)
Spirit Of A Boss

He spits a ton of game on all his other albums, but he's really stepped up his production on these last few releases.

Peezy dope too

1. Tee Grizzley doesn't mumble in his raps.

2. Tee Grizzley ain't out here clout chasing for views on some Fugazi ish

3. He's on 300 Entertainment.. Not a good place if u wanna be a star. Tee is just as ice cold as Shy Glizzy on that label.

Honestly, I think he's been chilling out since the death of his Aunt a few years back.
