Why isn't the media calling Russell Westbrook the favorite for MVP?

Seriously though @Raul, why couldn't you just make a thread centered around Westbrook having a great season, instead of asking the obvious question on why he's not the favorite for the MVP?

Russ getting that Prime Wade treatment....

:mjcry:

2010 was the only year of his prime where he wasnt the clearcut best player on his team and it was also the last year. The other years his squad wasnt good enough.

Talk about ridiculous hyperbole and over-exaggeration.

Are you stupid?

Curry is averaging 29.8 on 67% TS.

Westbrook is averaging 24.1 on 55% TS.

The difference in scoring is like comparing Miami Lebron and Prime Rudy Gay. Curry is on another planet on efficiency. He scores more on DRASTICALLY higher efficiency.

He might win it..Westbrooke is having a more complete season.. Comes time to vote...what happened to draymond ( more number 1 votes and still lose) might happen to Steph...

All types of possibilities
Unless Curry dies right now *touches head*, Westbrook has a 0% chance of winning the MVP. Draymond didn't win the DPOY because i) voters forgot about actually voting for him (that is not going to happen with Curry) ii) Kawhi had more publicity around his defense (Curry is frontpage status on every sports-related medium - Westbrook's name is somewhere amongst the classifieds). Comparing Draymond's situation to what's going on in the MVP race this season is not even remotely similar. Especially since Westbrook's not even averaging the most points on his own team - one of the main points of reference voters will use when making their decision.
