It actually makes sense to have the league start in December, and have it end in August. The only thing is that it fukks with FIBA and I think the NBA wants players in summer tournaments(Olympics, World Cup).

And of course I'm going to watch but the league had one of the best stories over the off season with LeBron coming home literally fall into their laps and they don't capitalize off that for opening night? Think about this though...

It's opening night... of a season where every team plays 82 GAMES and the regular season goes on for another six months or so. The NFL is right in the middle of their season, there is a World Series game tonight, plus you always have the bytch ass complaining "The season's too long, waaahhhh, I don't start watching until Christmas, waaaahhhh" crowd, and opening night for the NBA actually is STILL a pretty big deal.

I think this is more of a some people don't like the matchups right now than actually opening night not being important.
