I've done the knowledge and everything points to this conclusion. Dec 21 is not a random day. It's the Winter Solstice. That's why their calendar ends because it is the end of the age of Pisces and the beginning of Aquarius. Since it's all a cycle, the Mayans would start at the beginning of their calendar and it would keep time through the next 2000 years.
