Why Isn't There A Wonder Woman Movie?

She would need to be done by a witty charismatic actress. The reason why Wonder Woman wouldn't work is because her character has always been portrayed as just too serious.

If they could add in the action equivalent to man of steel and give her maybe a male friend who she becomes friends with that could be used for comedic relief it could work.

Every women would have to want to be like her and every man should want to fukk her.

it can work. the fantastic villains and even the love interest angle are all there. WB just needs to have faith in a well written script and cast an uknown who is as athletic as she is attractive. after the first movie, you then raise the stakes by having her have batman or superman as another love interest. marvel isnt hitting that angle yet.

Wonder Woman is a tough sell because Hollywood considers it nearly impossible to make a successful action flick with a woman as the lead nowadays despite the success of female led movies like the Underworld and Resident Evil series and the Hunger Games.
The last movie that was a hit and not a sequel or based off a popular YA book or video game was probably Salt and the only chick that has been seen as money in action flicks is Angelina Jolie (where audiences go to see her more than the character she's playing) and she is past the point where she could be WW.

real talk, I don't think I've ever paid for a movie ticket that stars a female lead since Catwoman(fml). I wanna keep this steak alive.

I wouldn't mind a WW (or similar) movie. Nothing wrong with seeing females who can do more than play helpless and look "good" at the same time...

I think they were tossing the idea around a couple of years back for a movie or TV series, but it fell through.

Got me wondering about H-wood/fanboys sometimes...
