Out here in Cali, white people and Mexicans control the airways of hip hop stations. Are we not interested or are we not given the same opportunities?

There are tons of black djs and radio hosts. The biggest music stations in the nation that broadcast hiphop are manned by blacks. And if a dj is Latino, so what? Blacks and Latinos are in the same boat, basically.

Outside of MAYBE the late 70's & early 80's. Has there EVER been a time where this wasn't the case?

Tell a Mexican they are in the same struggle as blacks. I got nothing against them but im just keeping it real.

This has nothing to do with putting other races down im just wondering why we dont have more representation.

Always been that way in the bay. I wondered why as well, only thing I could think of is that a lot of determined/successful blacks born from about 76-89 seemed to be about moving away from the bay (I don't blame them). A lot went to LA simply cuz it was an easy move, then you have the people who went to ATL, Texas, DC, and NY, they got in media elsewhere and left us with big Von :comeon:

yall got Big Boy, the best radio personality and interviewer besides Sway in the game right now.

for me it's a tie between him and sway. big boy always makes his guests feel comfortable, respects his guests. and his approach is unique. he always joking and making it feel like people just kickin it. i salute, everybody who on the radio and doing they thing. doing somethin they love and worked hard for. radio is not the easiest thing to get into and not the easiest thing to be great at.

you should definitely be proud that the west has someone like big boy representin and holdin it down for ya.
