Why isnt Tomlin Respected as an Elite Coach

Only Belichick and Pete Carrol are considered elite coaches in the league and even then Carrol keeps making dumb decisions. Lets be real Tomlin isn't regarded as an elite coach as there's only really 1 elite coach In the league

People have been grumbling about Tomlin's job security, totally ignoring he's:

- never had a losing season
- been to two Super Bowls, winning 1
- won the division 5(now 6) times
- won 10+ games 8 times
- has a .650% win percentage in the reg season and a .571% win percentage in the post season


A white man with his exact same resume would be bulletproof.

you cant deny that he been consistent winning, but when we gettin smacked around by Patriots every year when it matters shyt gets frustrating. And when you look at our roster, we've had enough talent where we shoulda been able to beat them at least once thats my only issue with Tomlin


but yea pittsburgh as a city has definitly been on some shyt with Tomlin, ever since he got here basically, so that plays a part in his perception as a coach to the general public

Our safeties were (and still are) the biggest problem that we have when we play them recently. I dont even know what kind of game plan you can come up with when you going against Tom Brady an Gronk and your safeties cant cover anyone. This tells me everything I need to know.....

We got as much talent but this just makes it a terrible matchup because of they style of play. So I dunno if you blame Tomlin for not having a better DB coach or the Front Office for drafting/signing the wrong guys but thats the biggest issue we got vs them an it been that way a minute and aint got fixed

Some of you saying Tomlin isn't an X's and O's guy, is crazy talk. That is how he came up through the ranks so fast because of his X's and O's, attention to detail, as well as a great communicator.
