Tomlin should be talked about more.

BUT

He Doesn't play a character and doesnt really give the media anything to make sound bites out of and he's black. Plus he has high school quality defense.

Beli gets attention because he's GOAT he cheated and has a deadpan demeanor that's become a caricature.

Tomlin is overlooked but part of it is because who he is.

Belichick is in a class by himself.

Tomlin is in the class below that. He's a fabulous coach. And that pains me to say.

See I disagree with this, Tomlin does have a character, he's that swagged out, don't give a fukk, we can beat anybody type of coach and that is why he's looked at the way he is.

This team embodies exactly what Tolin thinks, he is the master motivator when it comes to the good/great teams but when it comes to 1-10 teams it's "fukk them we can chill this week during practice" and that's why they play down to the competition.

I may be wrong but this is my opinion of this team. Same way as when Cowher was the coach and they would be up ten in the second quarter and he would get conservative as hell the team took on that identity and didn't have any killer instinct.

There isn't much difference in Tomlin and Beli besides Beli has FULL control of them. He has that swag and font give a fukk attitude but THEY ARE ALWAYS PLAYING LIKE THEY CAN LOSE ANY DAY.

To be real though if tomlin messed up like Carroll did in the superbowl he would have gotten fired.

The Steelers are a hard team to critics because they never really been bad, always been solid on D and had a solid running game. I thing it' racism but the Steelers history comes into play.

Tomlin ain't looked at as an elite coach because of all the extra bullshyt.

Team constantly would go for two point conversions after scoring the opening TD

Players showboat ALL THE TIME

Seems to not have control of his locker-room

Team constantly plays down to their oppenents

Too much of a "Player coach"

Last but not least...they call him undisciplined because of everything I listed above.

With this said, damn near everything that is said is somewhat true but even through it all dude continues to win. I personally wouldn't give him up for anyone else and I'm sure outside of NE and Seattle every other team would trade their coach for him.

Sounds like a Pete Caroll led team, but Pete is seen as elite

Explain to me, beside being a nikka, what has Tomlin done to have any sort of questions about his job security?

I didn't say he had. I was asking for the examples, because I don't see it.

Tomlin isn't looked at as an elite coach? :dwillhuh: When did this happen?

:heh:Okay... i thought it was just me in here that was confused.

Pretty sure the staggering majority of the football world would put Tomlin in the top 3 head coaches right now in a heartbeat.

We need to see him without Ben for a few seasons.

He walked into a SB-ready situation and has had a solid roster to work with for the last decade.

I think that’s why he isn’t considered elite just yet. It’s the same reason most people don’t consider Jon Gruden an elite coach.

There are 2 players on the team since he inherited a .500 club which people always leave out
