If dude were a better defender he would be the best player on the team. The Nets may bring him back on a cheap prove it contract but he needs to do 2 things more than anything. He needs to increase his range at least to the point where he has an ok jumper past 15 ft and he needs to engage on defense. He is too large to be such a turnstile or worse yet a statue.

He's Andrea Bargnani. Do you want Andrea Bargnani on your team? :usure:

He doesn't beast in at least one particular area on the court. Not a good scorer, not a good defender, not a good rebounder, no emotion(doesn't rally the troops), etc.

I would still take Andrea Bargniani over any big we have on the team as of now in his prime he would actually be a system fit. Kenny Atkinson is obsessed with playing small ball but we don't have any player who can create their own shot except D'angelo Russel and to lesser extent Allen Crabbe. We need Jahlil to at lease draw defenses inward so our shooters can get it done especially in the 4th quarters where we tend to lose steam and drop games.

I really don't understand how these head coaches refuse to use old school low post, back to the basket players.

Everyone wants to play like Golden State & Houston, and they're not equipped for it. He definitely needs to go to a team with that type of slow, grind it out pace. Depending on who Memphis drafts, that would be a nice fit, imo.

I was just wrong on Jah he has no want to improve and isn’t even playable in today’s game...He will be lucky to get a MLE.

I figured all you had to do was toss it into him in the post and he could go to work but with that said I’d still need him to give effort on defense.

Why did they give up on Trevor Booker? He was actually helping y’all win.

I guess they figured they would go towards youth and pick up 2 pieces who probably needed a change of scenery and could hopefully help long term rather than keep book who is only here to win for the season. (who expires this season)plus get a pick out the deal.

Okafor just doesn't fit any role on the court. The one good thing that he does(post offense) is totally muted by the fact that he simply does not pass out of the post. His woes defensively are well documented plus he's a lazy rebounder. What team could use him?
