Just because he guards the best point guards because Steph is a sieve doesn't mean he's actually good at it.

He's just better at it than Steph at it. Klay only performs well in defending the PnR

The Pelicans gave the world the blueprint 2 years ago. Trap/Ice the PnR and Double on any isolation every time on Dame no matter what the score or time in the game. Klay defensive metrics have always been subpar, but I think defense is something you really just have judge by watching. Remember a few years back there were some metrics showing that San Antonio was a better defensive team with kawhi on the bench than when he was playing.
