Why Kobe Bryant was a greater scorer than LeBron James will ever be

Im going to get straight to the facts:

Bryant has played 135 games in which he has scored 40 or more points; of these, 26 were 50-plus point games, 6 were 60-plus point games and 1 was an 81 point game.

One scoring feat accomplished in the toughest NBA conference in NBA history
The other feat accomplished in one of the weakest NBA conferences in NBA history.




I doubt you would argue LeBrons conference was the toughest in NBA history


Remember this is a thread about scoring, and seeing as lebron is halfway to Kobe's 40 point games total, he's CLEARLY not a better SCORER than Kobe.

Kobe's style was more entertaining to watch. I respect LeBron's ability to get buckets and he brought a ring to Cleveland so you can't take anything from him, but the flopping and basic freight train dribble to the basket just turn me off.

Kobe can just go off as a scorer, LeBron is more consistent and is a better distributor.

The closer you are to the basket when shooting a 2 the better the shot and the better chance for an O board or a kick out. penalizing someone for a dunk or a layup is stupid. That said, Kobe was definitely the more gifted and skilled scorer of the two but Lebron isnt far off while being a much better facilitator and distributer
