"Kobe's a better scorer."

No, Lebron has scored more points, on better efficiency, for his whole career.

"But Lebron only scores on the inside."

No, Lebron hits just as many threes and at a better rate than Kobe ever has.

"But Lebron never developed a midrange shot."

No, Lebron's peak midrange shooting (2011-2014) was just as good as Kobe's peak midrange shooting (2007-2010).

"But Kobe beats Lebron in more parts of the court."

No, the only place on the court where Kobe is meaningfully better than Lebron is from 10-16 feet, and that only accounts for an extra 1.5ppg for his career.

"But Lebron had it easy against the Eastern Conference."

No, both Lebron and Kobe scored better against the Western Conference than against the Eastern Conference in their careers.

"But Kobe's numbers are hurt by having to shoot so many shots at the end of the short clock."

No, Lebron takes more shots at the end of the shot clock than Kobe does.

"But Lebron's numbers will drop when he gets older."

Yet Lebron's numbers right now, both in totals and shooting efficiency, are higher than Kobe's career numbers ever were at any point in his career.

"But Kobe is better in the playoffs."

No, Lebron also has better scoring numbers than Kobe, on better efficiency, in the playoffs.

"But the Finals?"

No, Lebron is a much better scorer than Kobe in the Finals too.

"But they just let Lebron shoot in big games!"

And Lebron won games 5-7 in Golden State hitting eight threes on 42% and Games 6-7 in San Antonio hitting six threes on 40%.

"But Kobe's game is more entertaining to watch!"

I can't argue with you there...if you personally like watching volume chucking on 42% midrange shots more than GOAT all-around play, then I guess you're a Kobestan.

Kobestan has lost...there's no argument for him anymore besides "better 2nd-fiddle", "more games with 30+ shots", and "occasional 1 in 100 great scoring performances against awful teams in meaningless regular season games".

Goddamn. This needs to be added in a sticky note to this forum. Donald Trump didn't start the post-fact movement, Kobestans did.

Out here claiming he was the hero of the 2000 finals, posting a graphic of the 2001 playoffs when they still had 9 games left in the playoffs, blaming Shaq for the 2004 finals :heh:. To see them get shyt on more thoroughly than bane did to batman when they first met in the dark knight rises is truly most glorious :blessed:

And there it is. Kobestans have always appreciated aesthetics more than substance.

Goddamn. This needs to be added in a sticky note to this forum. Donald Trump didn't start the post-fact movement, Kobestans did.

That was just this thread too, and just the ones that were clearly proven. We need to add:

Claiming Kobe is just as good a passer as Lebron.

Claiming Kobe is just as impactful a defender as Lebron.

Claiming that Kobe has made a higher % of his game-winning shots than Lebron.

Claiming that Kobe has beaten more great teams in the playoffs than Lebron.

Claiming that Kobe losing in the first round is more impressive than Lebron losing in the Finals.

Claiming that Kobe had a more difficult path to the NBA than Lebron.

Claiming that Kobe has a larger Black fan base than Lebron.

Claiming that Kobe has stood up for the Black community more than Lebron.

Claiming that Kobe's girl is better than Lebron's.

Claiming that Kobe isn't a rat.

Claiming that Kobe didn't rape a girl in a Colorado hotel.

Kobe was as good in 1998 as rookie Lebron, he just didn't get playing time because his team was so stacked!

The last 2 minutes of overtime in Game 4 of the 2000 Finals were the only 2 minutes of that series that mattered!

Kobe was the leader of the 2000-2002 Lakers alongside Shaq!

Kobe didn't lose the 2004 Finals even though he had 22ppg on 38% shooting, it was all Malone and Shaq's fault!

Kobe would have won the MVP in 2006 if it wasn't for racist media taking Nash! (ignore that Kobe finished 4th)

Kobe didn't quit in Game 7 of the 2006 first round, he was just "trying to get other guys involved!"

Kobe didn't quit in Game 6 of the 2008 Finals!

Kobe won Game 7 of the 2010 Finals with his defense and rebounding!

Kobe would have destroyed the zone of the 2011 Mavs!

Kobe would have killed the 2012 Thunder just like he killed them in 2010!

Kobe drug that crappy 2013 Lakers team into the playoffs and would have scared the hell out of the Spurs if only he hadn't gotten hurt!

Kobe was still one of the best players in the league in 2015!

Kobe was the MVP of the 2016 Lakers because he was trying to tank to improve their draft prospects!

We could go on, and on, and on with the idiotic claims Kobestan has made in the process of trying to find something, anything, to elevate their hero.

That one you mention about the graphic of the scoring averages in the 2001 playoffs when they were still in the 2nd round has to be my favorite Kobestan arguing point ever. It's like, "LOOK, at this brief moment in the 2nd round of the playoffs one year, Kobe had scored almost as many points as Shaq (on far worse efficiency with far fewer rebounds and less meaningful defense), there he is Shaq's equal for all three championships!"

Now they're running with that graphic with the random 3-year listing of game-winning shot numbers....as if 2010-2012 was the only time period in Kobe's 20-year career and Lebron's 14-year career that either of them had tried to hit any game-winning shots. Sccit alone must have posted that graphic 24 times by now.

Yes but 2 things:

1. The post I was responding too was about Kobe having faced tougher opponents in the West.

lebron faced tougher D

HSWe2Rh.jpg

2. I also said that Lebron's numbers will go down as he ages. You'd have to do a variance of their numbers for specific years in the league or ages

kobe peak playoff numbers aren't as good as lebron's peak:troll:

:russ: you forgot the detail of how the 2012 thunder beat them in 5 and maybe should've mentioned the Mavericks sweeping them in 2011, but you hit every point they try to argue. @Bilz @Goatpoacher we got a teammate out here that brings heat like nobody else does on his subject :salute:. This guy delivers verbal beatdowns worse than anyone on this site I've ever seen. I don't think I can find a better analogy than Bane putting the beats on batman or frieza being humiliated on namek for what happens when he enters one of these threads. Some of this is inaccurate btw. And if you believe LeBron was ever the better shooter or scorer outside of 3ft then you may need to re-evaluate their careers. Its one thing to say Bron has been a more efficient scorer, but to try to pretend he was on par a as a shooter scorer beyond 3 feet is just wrong.

trying to remember but it's gonna take some digging lol
Well against top tier defenses, we have 2006 against Detroit, 2007 against Detroit and San Antonio, 2008 against Boston, 2009 against Orlando (basically all because of Howard though), 2010 against Boston, 2011 against Boston, Chicago, and Dallas, 2012 against Boston (can't recall the quality of the defense for Indiana and Oklahoma City), 2013 against Chicago, Indiana, and San Antonio, 2014 against Indiana and San Antonio, 2015 against at least Atlanta and golden state, 2016 against Atlanta, maybe Toronto, and golden state again. After the first round, there really aren't and mediocre defenses left in the east.
