Liberals get discouraged too early and too easily. People are ready to bail out on the Biden run 9 months in. Dudes checking out because benefits ran out after 7-8 months. I can't believe his job approval is Trump level after we all just lived through what the worst president in history looks like.

Like people think a 50+1 Senate majority is total control of legislation. We're literally cutting down these 2 infrastructure bills by 60% because of 2 senators. The mentality of Democrats should be "make sure we get enough progressives elected in 2022 so we can bush Sinema and Manchin".

Facts. People are like I can’t find a reason to vote . What they don’t realize is when Democrats finally have power left leaning dems rest on their laurels and don’t show up when it’s time for Democrats to gain even more power. You can’t do much when power is at a nearly 50/50 split. Now is the time to be even more eager to vote not less. I haven’t read through this whole thread yet but to me I feel like Biden’s obvious lack of progressive policy will help push forward a more robust neo progressive movement. We’re essentially in a new gilded age so naturally at some point the bottom will fall out and the masses will push back.

Even moreso in this era given that there are very real existential threats like climate change as motivating factors. Either it’s going to be a smooth swing to the left or a bloody one. But I think it’ll happen either way.

Charles Blow’s new book advocates for Blacks to migrate back to the south where there’s already a large concentration of Blacks and take over those states. So from Maryland to roughly Mississippi. I actually think this needs to be on the table for progressives. If you can take the Deep South and Great Plains then you’ve essentially killed the GOP. God help them if PR and DC are added as states.
