The developer moved on to Dreams and the game got hacked. I don't think the Sony of today has too much interest in revisiting this either. It's too bad because it was all them and nobody else really could compete.

Dreams is another game that just seem to go under the radar. I swear MM would be Epic Games status in a different life concerning their luck with IPs :mjcry:

Modern Sony has a lane and Dreams doesn't fit in it. I'm surprised they even let MM make it. Their audience wants games like God of War, Spiderman, The Last of Us, and Ghost of Tsushima not games like Dreams.

I dunno I don't agree with this because LBP came out in the same generation when God of War, MGS4, TLOU, Uncharted, Killzone etc were all coming out. LBP just died because like someone above said, Media Molecule left. Dreams was just not the same, it was more of a art piece with the game stuff left to creators. Had they just simply created a 3D LBP with user generated content I think it would've still been a hit.

:mjcry: I still love you Sackboy. Astrobot can eat a mechanical dikk.

LBP was DOA, then was relaunched a year later and got recognition at that point.
LBP2 expanded the idea and if they continued to expand on those ideas... If I can quote the almighty @winb83 , the psychological prowess of what LBP could have become is just.. just :wow:

LBP3 was sort of a step backwards, and then I think they did a spinoff of sorts but I don't remember and neither does anyone else if they did

Ultimately, Sony is very incompetent and has a KNACK for running franchises into the ground. You know, how Sony gamers used to say Microsoft was doing to Bungie. I think most companies are guilty of "pushing the line", you hear about it all the time. From Activision tio Take 2. Sony in particular has so many horry stories and gamers kind of just forget.

Sony killed LBP, if it was managed properly then it would still be a valued franchise today
