they're literally showing off to other women how big of a simp they were able to grab

the same way men would show off a trophy wife

its basically a status symbol

normal women constantly wear their wedding ring to show off how they found a simp that was willing to put half his wealth up and provide for her, with nothing in return

but a hyphenated name goes beyond and says "my simp has such little dignity he hyphenated his last name for me, just imagine what else I can get away with in this relationship"

I would make sure that my children have my last name. I would let her ass stay "outside the circle" while I and my children have the same surnames.
