Because they heard they can work and send the money back... and the us dollar goes far... regardless they know they'll find jobs corporations will hire them and pay them under the table for cheap labor.

Apparently not. Looks like there's never been waves of penniless Italians, Irish, Jews, Poles, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Nigerians, Chinese, etc etc who ended up living in slums and ghettoes and worked their ass off so their children and grandchildren could live better than they did.

Pull up to those migrant hotels they have them sandwiched in and there’s no way they see the “prospects” of it. I joke and say we are all full here but it’s real talk — we are bursting at the seams.
This isn’t the old romanticized days of Ellis Island where someone arrived via ship, had a zeppoli cart and 5 years later started the first restaurant in Little Italy that they passed down to the next generation.
Those days were over 100 years ago.
Resources are stretched thin here and it’s one thing if the most handsome migrant
