no but it should be able to do better than 19k....the normal capacity for nba arenas
what summer league game has 19k in the seats :dead:

sure looks like they are packed in

t&m might be drawing 10, maybe topping at 12 for some lakers games. rest of the games you can literally walk in and sit where you please every time. upper bowl isnt close to selling out, and isnt even open for any non lakers game, and isnt near capacity even during lakers games. they arent sniffing 19k at any time

For the record, no MLB team yesterday had an attendance under 21,000.

And the average attendance was 34,000.

:coffee:
Just did the math. Those stadiums clear at minimum 1 million a home off tickets alone.....

That's not even factoring the real money maker.....parking....along with food + beer.....

That's not really losing by any means :ehh:

Deceiving post you made there with that tweet. That was the second game after the Lakers-Celtics game ended. The games are sold as sessions, so many people probably left after the Lakers game ended. Still, the entire session was sold out in advance for the first time. And I'm not trying to say Summer League games have higher attendance than MLB, but what you'r trying to insinuate with that tweet is misleading.

The games aren't sold as separate sessions. All day passes are 30 bucks and are good for any game you want to see at either building. the opening post talks about every game being packed. Most of the games you can walk in and sit third row, either building, with no problem at all. While that lakers celts game was going the Spurs game next door was almost completely empty

I'm saying the all day session tickets were sold out. People who bought those could have decided not to stick around for the Philly game. I saw a bunch of Laker jerseys in the crowd during the Philly game so some did stay, but others left.

well, yea, thats what happens when the lakers arent playing. crowds look like that sixers game virtually every game not involving the lakers at the t&m, and even less crowded week day games. talking about every game being packed is the exact opposite of reality, and even then there isnt close to 19k in attendance since the upper bowl isnt near full

MLB is thriving financially and doing just fine in the regional tv markets.

But since you made the NBA/MLB connection. The Knicks being a total joke reminded me that James Dolan almost purchased the Red Sox.

We dodged a bullet. :whew:

And the NBA attendance in a lot of cities is pretty weak

Locally baseballs a lot more popular then the NBA

:mjlol: this.

MLB crushes the NBA when it comes TO local ratings.

With the exception of L.A AND PORTLAND AND SAN ANTONIO, no NBA team is #1 in American and Canadian cities.

MLB is #1 in Chicago, Boston, Cincinnati, NYC AND St.Louis and can challenge the NFL in Philly, Baltimore and in Philly no way the Sixers are ahead of the Phillies. Even the Giants are still barely ahead of the Warriors in the Bay Area. Cavs are equal to Indians in CLE.

And even in L.A the Dodgers are arguably more popular than the Lakers. In the past 4 years the Dodgers have been #1 team in LA. Dodgers have a rich, winning history, as much as the Lakers.
