Fashion moves in trends. There’s only so long a brand can be at the top.
Plus, Nike got lazy as fukk and stopped innovating. They believed that the Jordan brand and retro kicks could carry them forever and when the quality and material isn’t the same as the original, it starts to lose its luster.

I’m a Nike lifer, but I don’t even like the most recent shyt they put out

Plus, they keep fumbling, the bag bedding on the wrong athletes to make the face of the brand. I really don’t like the way they are oohing to sell Kobe gear and merchandise but at the end of the day it’s all about the dollar.

That DTC model really fukked them and was the root of a lot of their problems as the lack of innovations wouldn't as been that big of a deal if they wouldn't have given up that shelf space to those competitors when they went to the DTC model.

They got greedy in not only going to the DTC model and fukking over wholesalers, BUT increasing prices as well as they wanted in on that resell money that people were eating off of during the pandemic.

Now the resell game is dead and a lot of those sneakers they oversaturated the market with are now having to be sold at a loss. They have no one to blame but themselves.
