:heh: if they can convince people to stop wearing jogging pants everywhere they go, they may be able to convince people to wear sneakers again. I was at a funeral a few weeks ago and almost every young person there was wearing joggers and a hoodie with some kinda workout shoe or slides. I felt old for the 1st time in my life. Like, I might wear that to make a quick run or something but these young cats dress like hobos everywhere they go.

I don't know why they never thought to make shoes comfortable for people working on their feet for 6+ hours a day. Especially the :flabbynsick:
They actually did this. The shoe was just ugly as fukk. It's called the Nike Zoom Court Pulse and it was designed for the medical field.

It was a good idea but it didn't have a widespread appeal and it was ugly. But it is very comfortable.

I really don't see much of a problem with it, the economy and our culture basically churns out hobos anyway by design so eeehhhh

Ok I'm not watching that long shyt. Are they just talking about the core brand or Nike as a whole? This doesn't sound right when you consider Jordan Brand is part of Nike.

First off their bread and butter was people wearing athletic shoes as everyday casual wear…When Adidas popped out with Yeezy and NMD’s and made that running shoe style pop it should’ve made Nike wake up ..it didn’t . Funny thing is adidas fell off in that lane too (Yeezy blowback)

Now if you into that running shoe look you wearing NB’s or ASICS ..if you’re a suburban type you’re rocking On or Hoka . Nike is dead in that lane .

Gorpcore got HOT,,,Nike has ZERO real presence in that lane and never really did ..So Salomon came in and put that lane in a chokehold ..still got it .

If there is one spot Nike should eat in is in Basketball shoes..but their shyt got stale, boring and some cases flat out ugly . Adidas came through with the AE 1’s and is running it . I’m telling nikkas right now the next Hardens are gonna be going crazy . Puma got Lamelo and kids fukk with those shoes heavy. Fox look like he trying to be in that same lane as Melo with UA.

When I see nikkas talking about Nike basketball shoes that ain’t a reissue ..it’s shyt like Sabrina 1s and 2s..which are fire but you not winning with that

Zoom freaks are dead,Brons are ew,Booker got some colorways that are fire …but they never come out :dead:

Workout wear ? Lululemon

Nike got techs but that’s just lil hood nikka shyt
And the tech quality is trash in comparison to the mid to late 2010s tech. I got one of the tech fleece and told myself that if that side zipper rips like my previous one did, I ain't buying anymore. Don't make sense how my old Adidas Tiro pants lasted longer than my first tech fleece pants and the latter was like $100, before the price increase :aicmon:

I’m happy about it. Nike consumers have an atrocious attention span and they need every drop. I don’t wear them outside of my kyries for the gym but the ones that have caught my eyes over the years have plummeted in value. More into boots and dress shoes these days. Sneakers are for days I know I’ll be walking around

They thought that they could make the shift from athletics to athleisure + collectibles and that would cover their bases...and it can't. The people that grew up wanting to be like Mike ate all the McDonald's and Texas BBQ and Cheesecake Factory in sight. You think the beetus and hypertension was gonna have them sporting Vaporwaves and Jordans?

Asics, New Balance, Brooks, they all saw the trends shifting before they happened, and now it's all cake as they have the casual side covered. Health is going to be the biggest growing sector for the next 20 years easy, and Hoka and Crocs(of all people) have a better hold on healthcare professionals than anyone else.

Ashleigh and her gang aren't about to backfill those numbers. They'll spend their money on Starbucks and Lululemon and stumble about in Crocs instead.

Nike will be fine. They had a Ceo that made some stupid mistakes while the sneaker bubble was popping. They were printing money for the past 10-15 years due to flippers and resellers. Now the market Is correcting itself. They gotta a new CEO. It wont be like it was, but they'll be aight.
