He's a great song writer and has a standout voice ,but the major labels still run shyt . Russ likes to brag about being independent but he got hot on Atlantic then went indie . All those rappers on Empire are not really independent either . All these old rappers always telling new artist to go independent but these rappers would be nobody's if they weren't signed to the majors for years. You won't find a single independent rapper on Rap cavier

Rap game is weird now. There's real snitches who get embraced. There's some snitches who don't get embraced and get hated for it. Then there's some others who ain't even snitched but get labelled one and stigmatized for it too.

Bun B and Troy Ave are certified snitches but people wanna mental gymnastics over it instead of just being straightforward. Everyone can have different moral compasses but just be honest about it.

Troy is nice....to me.....but the way he raps isn't popping anymore.
