you gonna have to clarify that..in my experience when you see that 30 year old ford or chevy its had most of its major parts replaced so its almost 75% new.....but when you see that 30 year old Benz or Toyota its usually got its original engine,original transmission.
Most foreign cars are junked due to poor maintenance and High parts prices rather than shoddy engineering


I do agree some domestic models are high quality and perform well...it doesnt make any sense if you have 25k budget to buy a Kia sorento instead of a Ford edge just to say that youre #foreign gang

I feel you breh but ford and chevy? Yeah they might outlast some German car with a thousand more parts/features but they won't hold a candle to a comparable Toyota, Honda, Subaru, etc. in terms of reliability.

Hell, I'll even take Kia over pretty much any American brand when it comes to your standard car:Dadamn:

They're both wastes of money in the long term, but at least you get a lil brand prestige and usually better features in a forgien whip.


I sold cars and pretty much anyone who came in with an American car that wasn't paid off or had put a ton of money down on it, they were upside down in negative equity. Chevys were the worst in that regard. I've seen people in chevys be anywhere from $3-19k upside down in them shyts.



Truth be told, I don't know why so many brehs fukk with chevy, ford, & chrystler so hard. We already need to be better with our money and getting into a loan with any of those brands is usually a bad financial decision

But Chevys the king of " Oh you got negative equity? We'll just give you a $8000 rebate to make up for your negative equity, and get you into an even better vehicle with no money down...all you gotta do is just get into another, even longer loan with us for this vehicle. By the way, after 7 years when you've finally paid that off, the car still won't be worth shyt when you trade it in cuz of that huge rebate and the fact it's not gonna run past 150k miles without serious work, but by then we'll just get you into a newer one"
