He aint the only cat in the league who can weakside shot block while being limited offensively and be a mediocre one on one defnder

You dont give a player of that description a shytload of money you can sign one for much cheaper somehwere

You undervalued his defense by saying all he does is weakside blocking... he's improved in the defensive areas last season that have been a minor-detriment to the thunder in the past. GTFOH...... do you know how much money Ibaka sacrificed in order to stay on the thunder?

shyt doesn't negate the fact that if they had harden instead of ibaka, they'd be WORSE overall as a team because they wouldn't have shyt inside.

Why do you folk keep sayin this? That's what Maynor is for. And Martin can create for himself.

:why:

:heh:

A guy who's career averages of 4 ppg and 3 assists per game is gonna replace what Harden brought?

And im not sold on Kevin Martin i've seen dude play having to watch Houston play the Spurs 4 times a season. He's a volume shooter who got points on terrible teams. Cant defend and cant play off the ball and is nowhere near the creator that Harden is

surely you aint this stupid? maynor gonna run the floor when the 2nd unit and westbrook isn't out there. he averaged the same amount of assists as harden did in half the amount of minutes. and martin is gonna bring the scoring.

you've seen martin play 4 times last season?.... well you can throw your opinion of him in the bushes.....

Maynor is gonna run the floor yeah but that doesnt mean OKC is gonna be as good as they were. You dont replace an All-Star caliber player with a career bench player and expect to pick up where you left off.

Also quit being retarded nikka, I said I saw Martin play against San Antonio 4 times a year when he was with Houston. Reading comprehension fukk nikka

Their bench is better than last year. i know what you wrote ( you just reiterated your point to make your opinion of martin more worthless), but you are saying you only watched him 4 times last season.....

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Harden needed to be set free. If he can put up as many points as Durant or Westbrook and get max money elsewhere so be it. The Thunder had those good problems. They have so much talent they couldn't afford to keep it all, and the still have enough talent to compensate.

The Knicks lost Lin for way less.

wow this thread backfired tremendeously :russ:

basically every positive okc predcition in here turned out to be wrong :dead:

oh they got kevin martin who fukkin sucked and left them in a year, then they was supposed to give lamb minutes and he ended up leaving okc too, then they said well perry jones will get the minutes and he is out of the league already.

They said okc won this for the long term :russ:

meanwhile harden is about to average big numbers this season. Cheap ass ownership tried to get smart with this and ended up destroying the whole team long term :francis:

and now look what happened. The moral of this story is if you want to be the champion you have to spend money. They never made it back to the finals after this trade. They had a natural talent who was already showing signs of elite scoring. You can't let him walk away and hope the other guys could fill up the needs. OKC thought they did that eddie jones and van exel type of trade that would let their two superstars shine without the excess of other ball demanding scorers. It was a miscalculation. And that's a huge karma considering they lost one star player for next years playoffs while having to deal with injuries two years later again, a situation in which Harden would have saved this team.
And its also a karma how bennett who stole the team from seattle by giving fake ass promises in longer term ended up letting other teams rob him by taking away his star players. They may possible never come back to having 3 elite scorers ever again. A golden opportunity missed by a small market team that is actually in one of the worst places for an athlete in America :scusthov:

Look. that's if you going by you need 3 all stars on your team model.

They have a Jordan/Pippen combo in Westbrook and Durrant. They a small market team. Why break the bank for 3 nikkas??? He was expendable because it allows them to sign other players and replace his production with 2 people if need be.

I don't know why replacing Harden with a bunch of no ones and a has been was expected to work. I do remember the damn over hype Lamb had decreasing more and more every season tho. nikkas thought he was gone be their great facilitator one day :pachaha:
