Please don't e-mail me that Harden is NOT a franchise player. The following players are max guys: LeBron, Wade, Durant, Howard, Westbrook, Rose, Rondo, Chris Paul, Nowitzki, Deron Williams, Love, Griffin, Aldridge, Carmelo, Bynum, Harden, Bosh (yes, Chris Bosh), Gasol, and eventually, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Don't believe me? Eric Gordon and Roy Hibbert just got max contracts and they aren't max guys!

There's one glaring name he left off that list

he has some points

He does . It could be a great move or it can backfire . Like the celtics with perk chemistry and someone buying into the system is a big part of team success. We can't tell what kmart does when on a winning team , he plays no d and it's not that easy coming off the bench . People arguing about the 4.5 mil are silly the team can afford it now it's a matter of if they thought he was worth it , if the money's 4.5 mil they just being cheap .

:wtf:

I aint read all that but don't have to. Hardens performance in the finals convinced me that he isn't a max player. nikka wins 6th man and disappeared. And then has the audacity to ask for more money?

i had no issue with the article. but i thought phoenix did damn good considering the circumstances. one minute you talk about the suns lowballing joe johnson. but hell, everyone and their mama said he wasnt a max player.

Neither is Harden per se but he is for the Thunder

Joe Johnson is not a max player but with him as a 3rd option on the Suns he was perfect and could have helped the Suns win a title or two which would have been worth it paying him max as opposed to a team like the Hawks where he had to be the best player which hes not god enough to be on a contender

How about the fact that when KOBE HANGS IT UP after this season, Harden was going to fire his agent and sign max deal with the Lakers?

His agent had to get Harden a max deal ASAP.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Look. that's if you going by you need 3 all stars on your team model.

They have a Jordan/Pippen combo in Westbrook and Durrant. They a small market team. Why break the bank for 3 nikkas??? He was expendable because it allows them to sign other players and replace his production with 2 people if need be.

man what is OKC sposed to do? this idiot turned down $52M. :pacspit: @ that nikka if i'm an OKC fan.

That's what I'm saying. OKC is a small market and they can't afford to pay that luxury tax. They got 2 super stars all ready.

I think the media is still on Miami's model for winning a title. You need 3 max contract type players. Maybe Harden wanted to be a starter and get max starter money. You can't knock him for that and you can't knock the Thunder not wanting that saga to be a distraction during the year.

I think the media is mad because the shyt happened before they could post it in their rumor mills.
