i dont know why okc even mentioned who they were trading him to? shoot, at least lie and say the bobcats. simmons is right. once they said houston. that agents eyes lit up. no income tax?? max salary?? DUH. who the hell wouldnt jump at that. well except dwight howard of course. but thats another story.

Apparently a lot of players. We had salary for a max player since the 09 season and not one player even considered us. I mean, its not liek we aint already had pieces.

I could have sworn :childplease: was signed til 2014.

It's been 17 years in the league, time to face reality.
That inject in the knee stuff Kobe does is some orthopedic shoes type of treatment, his career is coming to an end.

If the Lakers win it with Dwight THIS SEASON, Kobe could retire as the greatest Laker -- better than Jabbar, Magic, and even Jerry West.

If the Lakers don't win the title, would you rather have a 36 year old Kobe, with a jello shots arthritis in both knees -- or a 26 year old James Harden?

The Chi (South Side)
another thing. $13M is a reasonable amount for harden. I mean he's not even an all star. in what world should he be making comparable salaries to KD and :russ:

It's funny how he mentions past champions like the Pistons, C's, Lakers of the 80's and totally ignores that fact that each of those teams made big trades in order to get into the position they ended up in. Worthy and Magic were the product of trades. McHale and Chief were products of trades. Aguire (sp) was acquired in a trade. I'm sure he'll be sucking OKC's FO off viciously if/when Lamb and/or the picks turn into something.

Look. that's if you going by you need 3 all stars on your team model.

They have a Jordan/Pippen combo in Westbrook and Durrant. They a small market team. Why break the bank for 3 nikkas??? He was expendable because it allows them to sign other players and replace his production with 2 people if need be.

 lets see if they really replaced his ProductiOn.

If OKC would have waited for the deadline, the Bulls would have cleaned house to get Harden.

James Harden just dropped 37 with 12 dimes for you hatin suckas. He's gonna be a perennial all star for the Rockets. I think this is a good thing for him, he's too talented to be coming off of the bench.

You can laugh all you want im no Simmons fan but one thing the cat knows is the NBA.He has almost a scary love for it

Dude wrote a 10 thousand word article on the Warriors :wtf:

I'm so sick of hearing this bullshyt. Half the posters in The Coli are obsessive about the NBA too, doesn't mean we take everybody serious in here or anybody's word as gospel.

If I wrote a 10,000 word article about the Bucks, would any of you care? :aicmon:

That's what I'm saying. OKC is a small market and they can't afford to pay that luxury tax. They got 2 super stars all ready.

I think the media is still on Miami's model for winning a title. You need 3 max contract type players. Maybe Harden wanted to be a starter and get max starter money. You can't knock him for that and you can't knock the Thunder not wanting that saga to be a distraction during the year.

I think the media is mad because the shyt happened before they could post it in their rumor mills.

:childplease: Get off that small market shyt.

For one, the owner is a billionaire. If he can afford to hand out $80 million contracts to multiple players, you got the wrong idea feeling bad for him. That guy isn't hurting financially nor will he ever.

Second, they sell out every night, so they're pulling in plenty of money from the fans and I'm sure their next TV deal will be bananas.

Third, Bennett hi-jacked the fukking team from Seattle to move it to OKC, so he did that to himself if you want to play that small market nonsense. Seattle is a much bigger market and was one of the premier NBA towns.
