But Americans aren't outraged because they think it's a form of security. In fact more ppl are probably more concerned of Russia/Trump scandal than they are of NSA spying.

What you just wrote is one of the biggest problems facing our country and society.

We willingly and knowingly allow our government to erode our privacy and freedom under the guise of "security". Our media talks about it for a few days and then the story disappears. We're desensitized to our governments intrusion into our lives.

On the other hand, our media is having a field day about Russia. Russia isn't violating our civil rights. Russia isn't spying on our citizens. Russia isn't spitting in the face of our Constitution. At worst, Russia is trolling our federal government. That doesn't effect any citizens day to day life. People are all up in arms about Russia when its our own government that has the biggest negative impact on our lives and society.
