From what i can tell..im in Florida, aint no water for black folks.no pools..no lakes, ponds.for free at least.we got the beach but..aint nobody trying to learn to swim at the beach. .we aint paying to go in water..

White people have pools, and access to family water holes and shyt. Red neck lake spots and what not .they grow up swimming.for free.

THIS. Only time I could learn to swim was around white folks or if I was in summer camp and took trips to the pool. Nobody down here in Florida trying drown in a ripe current at the beach :mjlol:

Nah I use to hear white people say black people cant swim cause of “bone density”. Which is stupid and not true. Some kid told me that when I was 12, I punched him in the mouth. He thought he was funny. His swollen lip was funny. :ehh:
Black people do have higher bone density than white people on average, though. Doesn’t mean that you can’t swim but it makes it harder to stay afloat.

Why isn't this more common knowledge?

I've always watched white people on tv/movies just jump off a boat in the middle of the ocean and sit there floating..goofing off just laughing!

Thinking to myself i couldn't do that shyt if i tried .ill be dead at a ship wrecked site .

I learned this from David Goggins, who is or was the “fittest man in the world” at some point and also a navy seal. He talked about how hard the seal training was for him because of the buoyancy issue black people have.

This is a racist stereotype i wouldnt expect to see on here. Growing up i was one of the only kids who didnt hang out at the wave pool, or jump off the springboard into a neighbors pool at a summer bbq. I fell into a pool as a small kid and almost drowned so i had an ingrained fear of drowning, but in high school we had a swim class and i can swim like a fish. Just dont want to, especially living in florida with sharks.

I love swimming. Got pushed in the deep end at a pool party as a kid and I had to learn quick in order not to die. Since everybody was just laughing smh.

Over the years I learned how to be an efficient swimmer. Ain’t nothing like swimming in a lake or the ocean waters.

Snorkeling, scuba diving or just playing in the water with a pretty lady are some of the best things in life to me.

I learned how to swim as a kid and still can but I rarely swim, chlorine is horrible on my skin. My son can swim like a fish, his dad taught him.
