When's the last time you ate a pizza made by an actual Italian? Yall wanted hiphop to go mainstream this is what comes with it.

Pizza and sushi are mainstream as fukk, and you're right to a certain extent. But...

a) you know pizza is Italian, sushi is Japanese. There is zero debate on it being anything else in origin. Nobody's saying that Black people were participants in the very beginning of pizza like cacs try to force the idea they were into hip hop from day one.

b) You can easily find where to eat authentic shyt like Neopolitan and it's super clear what is authentic pizza and what isn't. Pizza Hut is mass market pizza. It's decent for what it is - mass market. No one pretends it's genius, classic, whatever. But in hip hop, certain wack obviously pop rappers have made a career out of the industry forcing their poppy, pseudo-hip hop hybrid bullshyt as being the most authentic shyt. These trash rappers are always cosign dependent. Things like this degrade the culture in a major way.

c) smart people protect their culture and know it's worth protecting. For example, I'm reading this off wikipedia (so that means it needs to be really verified), but

In 2009, upon Italy's request, Neapolitan pizza was registered with the European Union as a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed dish.[3][4] The Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (True Neapolitan Pizza Association), a non-profit organization founded in 1984 with headquarters in Naples, aims to "promote and protect... the true Neapolitan pizza".[5]

Having been to Japan, I know for a fact that the Japanese are very proud of their culture and market it to the world. When I took Japan Airlines, their inflight entertainment has useful videos introducing you to Japan. Many of them are extremely well done. The best video I saw was a short doc on a fisherman, the fisherman's wife, a renowed sushi chef and an actress. Basically this fisherman was one of the best in the country, and his wife was at first afraid of him because her own father was a fisherman and died at sea, but once the fisherman started getting notoriety, she calmed down a bit. This dude's life purpose is to catch fish in the best possible way. And his method of catching is so smart it makes the sushi taste better. The sushi chef takes the fish and uses generations-old styles he learned (many of them secret) to make premium sushi. So yeah, I can go to a fast food place and eat sushi, but if I want the real shyt, I have an idea what it looks like and where to go.

Meanwhile, if you say "hip hop needs protecting" and that there are obvious, massive differences in quality level when it comes to hip hop music, you'll get labelled a hater, stuck in the past and/or stalked. Weirdos in here really argue that because Rick Ross and Prodigy rhyme about the same kinda shyt, then they must equally be classic (otherwise you're a hater stuck in an era) and that Ross might even be better :mjlol:
