he's an average rapper at best with a fan base that claims he's the greatest rapper alive.

Thats why i dislike him.

Why do other people's opinions on a particular person have an effect on how you view them?

he got lazy... his whole gimmick were corny punchlines that were quotable but he occasionally dropped a hot 16... the whole autotune phase reallly hurt him... and he's just been puttin out wack shet...

not to mention hes got those gay azz piercings and wants to be a skateboarder.

For the most part, a lot of people that jumped on the bandwagon during the Dedication and Carter era of his career just lost interest. Wayne's always had corny and wack punchlines, but the momentum and work that went in to the build up pre-Carter 3 made people watch. After C3 dropped, it seemed like he just wasn't as interesting as he was. People started calling him on the very things they were giving him a pass for before.

From '05-'09, a non-Wayne fan calling Wayne out for having wack lines would be labeled a hater. Either that or a Wayne stan would say the line went of their head. Post Carter 3, his most dedicated of fans are saying the same thing.

His flow, delivery and mic presence peaked in Tha Carter III. Not that the album was a masterpiece or anything, but as an emcee he was in a completely different league than he is now. He's been stagnant for some time now; recycling lines, boring flow, doesn't sound like he's trying. He has some moments where his flow is back but it never sticks. All he's good for now is making club tracks, if it's good I ain't complaining though :smugbiden:

other people's opinion make him relevant, thats why i have an opinion of him at all. If he didnt come up in every conversation about rap I wouldn't think twice about him

I haven't liked anything Wayne's did since TH3, but I think he deserves all the success he gets because he's proven he can rap with everything prior to TH4.
