A.I is like Ronaldhino in soccer

Some people like Gilbert Arenas and Dahntay Jones had to be in the gym all day and night to achieve the talent to keep them in the NBA, then there are guys like Allen Iverson who could just show up.

On the flipside with AI though….. people also forget how beat up AI used to be….. from his arm, leg, ankles

He probably needed that extra rest too just to make it in an 82 game season.

But still, I can see where he probably abused that and made his teammates mad lol

AI was an athlete who could hoop...I never looked at him as a pure hooper

He would've been good at practically every sport

He didn't love hoops the way Kobe did...understandably so, Kobe grew up in a house where his father was a professional ballplayer and his mom's brother was also nasty on the court

AI was a star QB that could hoop

Even tho AI was small, he was an elite athlete early in his career...fast as a cheetah and could jump out the gym

TMac was the same way. JVG used to reference it all the time . TMac didn’t really put in the work during the off time or offseason. He said kobe took 10000 shots before the game, and then said TMac doesn’t take 1000 shots all year round. I’m pretty sure a lot of guys that were stars during and before that era(before the aau generation) were like that.

Some nikkaz are just gifted athletically.

10,000 shots?

That video of Curry hitting 105 threes took 5 minutes. That's nonstop shooting.
10,000 shots before a game from anyone would be impossible.

Hyperbole. Also I can’t remember the exact quote but it wasn’t the only time that JVG spoke unfavorably about TMac prepar6. It was one of his biggest regrets during his time coaching Houston but he had more respect for TMac ability than any other player he coached.

I mean, this is essentially talent envy or outright jealousy. That said, that’s a natural feeling for most people and if Iverson was a leader he would have recognized that and adjusted. But that’s just not who he was. My favorite player as a teen but the older I get the more I realize how detrimental his attitude was to winning in a team environment. All time individual players and talent though.

It's real hard to want to go out and work when you see teammates working out in parachutes, buying all these devices, in the gym all day but you walk onto the field/court better than them no matter how much effort they put in. AI wasn't the only one with that problem. :to:

This is why my respect for Kobe's work ethic is what it is. His talent was met by the hard work he put in.

Wow I’m shocked :mjlol:

Dude didn’t work out went to the club and hung out every night ate mad Taco Bell and came out every night and took 25-30 shots a game..

Who would want to play with a guy like that?

Cmon man..

A.I. is a hero to you nikkas though cause he wore Timbs to games
Folks love AI because he was a go hard on the court special athlete.

You label and confine heads way too much on here.
