It's real hard to want to go out and work when you see teammates working out in parachutes, buying all these devices, in the gym all day but you walk onto the field/court better than them no matter how much effort they put in. AI wasn't the only one with that problem. :to:

This is why my respect for Kobe's work ethic is what it is. His talent was met by the hard work he put in.
I think Kobe growing up with another professional baller in his household probably played a big role In his drive and preparations. The same way it did for Klay, the Ball boys and even Steph. When you have strong Male role models in your life to push you to be better than even themselves, those worth ethics are goin to be higher than usual.

players that are built off runs

vs. players built off drills & cone work

j.crxssxver another player like that

his workout was finding a run & boogieing

nikkas with their personality in their play

they got bop they got style

now you see 99.9% hoopers robotic

everything in their bag is stiff

no water

It’s weird seeing this discussion because I heard Nate Newton and a panel talking about his same subject in football. The primary player example brought up was Dez. The guy that players with Dez and was his roommate during training camp said Dez hated individual drills and would routinely go pull up some assistant or players coach when it was time to do the individual drills and say something was nagging him in his body and sit out those drills but as soon as the team drills were ready he would magically heal and start crushing the db’s during practice and scout team.said Dez would wake up ignore the nutritional plan, eat 3 bars of Doritos and go dominate practice .

Edit. Found the link about Dez

All that “go hard special athlete“ shyt @NYC Rebel is talking about is why we have a dumb ass like Russell Westbrook having people cop pleas for his remedial Reading is Fundamental play

Dude has every person in the world tellin him that bullshyt about “Ooooooooh Russ you play so hard I love how you play so hard” totally ignoring the fact that he’s a selfish delusional toxic person that refuses to change his game..

Thats what happened to AI.

Goin hard is great if it’s pointed in the right direction and you play smart cmon man stop it
Sorry…but when a little dude is braver than men bigger than him to go and collide with big men, folks are drawn to it. You find that to be a problem.

Fans like fearlessness. You think thats perverse.

One thing I notice is that when you dislike a player, youre willing to bend norms so you can justify your disdain. Sports is never that serious.

Weirdo shyt, man.

I wont argue his inefficiency. Never did. I stated why he was liked and you turned sports norms world round as a perversion.

Weirdo shyt. All because you dont like a dude, whats normal is now bad.

Its too serious to you.

I don’t dislike AI though.. I just didn’t like watching him play. You liked watching that Philly team that went to the Finals?

That was beautiful basketball to you?

That shyt was horrible to watch

I actually liked how he played in Denver better then he did in Philly

AI was an athlete who could hoop...I never looked at him as a pure hooper

He would've been good at practically every sport

He didn't love hoops the way Kobe did...understandably so, Kobe grew up in a house where his father was a professional ballplayer and his mom's brother was also nasty on the court

AI was a star QB that could hoop

Even tho AI was small, he was an elite athlete early in his career...fast as a cheetah and could jump out the gym
His mom forced him to play Basketball..in his own words he thought it was soft and didn't want to go..he saw his homies there and stuck with it.
