I think he just really doesn't want Hillary to be president. It might be his grudge with her, he has something on her that has yet to be released, or he's uncomfortable with the circle of influence that supports her.
Because beside this Hillary stuff they do good work and have released great info even just this year outside the US election.

This is the same reason the email fiasco is nonsense. But folks have so much venom for Hillary they can't even see it. After the 8th, the media will let the email fiasco fade away. I respect their hustle because this is serious for them. The alt-right are just some racists, nothing to respect there. They need someone friendly to Russia in the White House because the energy war that has already started and will continue under Clinton represents dire consequences for them and they can't go crying to the international community about how the US is behaving badly because that's not behaving badly. The way Russia used energy to freeze Polish people to death and others represented bad behavior. This isn't like engaging them in cyber-warfare or downing a plane. Assange knows Hillary would continue to pursue his extradition, whereas maybe he gets a free pass from Trump for exposing all this during the campaign. That plus possible Russian influence would seem to explain why he's doing what he's doing imo.
