Because, I really really don't relate to the characters or the purpose of the show at all. From what I've seen it appears to just be about 20 something white girls who lived a relative life of privilege but for some reason are unhappy with their station in life. Their station in life wasn't the result of unfortunate circumstances but character flaws and then it follows their whining about their said situation. I work with folks like this and the idea of going home and watching a show about them makes me want to vomit. I don't like them enough at work as it is.
Perhaps "relating to characters" seems kind of silly (not like I related to the characters in the game of thrones). However, if I ignore that, then the second reason I don't like the show is because it simply isn't funny to me. This might go back to relating to the characters. I just dislike the characters so much that I can't find it funny on any level. So its a combination of the two. I don't have to relate to the characters to like a show but I actually dislike the characters of this show to the point I can't enjoy it.
Show sucks, in my opinion as a late 20 something black MALE that has never lived in New York City and has no interest to visit the city.
