Erik Schatzker: Why were you arrested in the first place?
Prince Alwaleed: Well, I would not use the word “arrested,” because we were invited to the king’s house and then asked to go to the Ritz-Carlton. So it was done with honor and dignity, and our prestige was maintained. Not only me; everybody else.
Erik Schatzker: You’ve described the whole ordeal as a misunderstanding. A misunderstanding over what?
Prince Alwaleed:When I say misunderstanding, it’s because I believe I shouldn’t have been there. Now that I’ve left, I would say that I’ve been vindicated. Yet I have to acknowledge to you, for the first time, that yes, we do have with the government a confirmed understanding, going forward.
Erik Schatzker: What does that mean?
Prince Alwaleed:It is very confidential. I cannot get into that. But there is a confirmed understanding between the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and me personally.
All I’m saying is that there’s already a thread discussing this issue. No need for multiple threads on the same subject. If you didn't read the OP I recommend. Not concerned with how they found out he's dead, doesn't matter if it was an apple watch or they had him on a skype call when it happened. If it he dead, it could relate to his families extremely close ties to arms dealing in the middle east and his past as it relates to time spent with Bin Laden. The other thread is going on about a video, who cares. The implications and the possible motivations are what matter, not the video or his role as a Washington post reporter.
It's a farce to describe this man primarily as a Washington Post Contributor. Recall the events that happened earlier this year with Alwaleed bin talal.... you understand that this is a continuation of MbS rooting out opposition factions within his House?
he gave an interview to Bloomberg post release.
Sounds like Alwaleed played let's make a deal![]()
