Bro, the CPU plays so fukking fake/dumb/garbage on HOF. They literally NEVER take smart or realistic shots. You can leave Jordan wide open off the dribble and he will forcefully drive into a crowded paint. Every post up is a quick fadeaway jumper , the CPU never even tried to back anybody down.


All Star plays the most realistic brand of basketball you will ever see in a video game . I'm on last gen still, but Kobe is cooking me off the dribble. 5 straight isolation jumpers (I have never seen that many in a whole game before). This shyt is beautiful.

I had to turn up the CPU shooting sliders, turn up attempt dunks tendency, turn up defensive awareness and on ball defense for the CPU and this shyt is golden.

Thread is cap. There's no different in what the HOF CPU and what All-Star CPU does. They just make shots at a higher percentage.

The tendency stat affect the CPU logic for each player.

Fyi, I haven't played next gen yet but on last gen that has been the case for at least 3 years, all star CPU plays a completely different type of game.

Yea, but that's not why it's not fun. If Kobe was killing me from mid and Zion was going hard to the paint it would still be dope.

It's not fun cause they take dumbass shots, isolations are awful and damn near all the points are assisted jumpers (not this year cause layups actually go in) or assisted cuts to the paint. On All Star for the most part they use all forms of basketball to score with the occasional dumb ass shot (the pull up jumpers literally leaning going towards the defender has been a problem for 7+ years, they still don't stop to take a smart shot all the time. Mid range wide open and they take a jumper leaning towards the closest defender ).

All Star improves a lot of the bullshyt. Not perfect but easily noticed if you switch it during a game.

This is CPU vs CPU, look at the shots they are taking and how normal the offense looks most of the time. More often than not you get realistic shot attempts with the occasional retarded shyt.

Only tendancy slider i changed was attempt dunk slider.

Somewhat unrelated but turning off the shot meter for everything except free throws made this game so much more enjoyable to me. I get that they wanna give you that extra level on control but it basically turns every jumper or layup into a timed mini-game like I was literally conditioning myself to not look at my player or the court, but that fukking meter every time plus it made my jump shots super inconsistent. I actually shoot considerably better and get more perfect releases by playing without a shot meter and actually watching the shooting animations

No. If you use the HOF base then change sliders vs using the All Star base then changing your shyt literally changes how the computer plays offensively.

I been testing this shyt since they implemented the sliders in the difficulty settings 2 years ago

Nah, they don't take enough jumpers off the dribble. That's not real basketball . It's the most common shot in the history of the game and 2K still struggles to get the CPU to take them. It was good last year on AS and it's the same this year
