They literally treat women like dogs. You'd want you mother or daughter or sister treated as sub human just because she's a female? Denied the oppurtunity to be a engineer, architect, pilot, etc because of their gender? Nah

I haven’t lived in any of these places but to me it seems like these countries take care of their citizens.

Off top:

You get gifted with money for your wedding
Free tertiary education
The government helps you with housing
Low cost of living
Etc.

What’s not to like? Sure they may have social issues but so does the everywhere else. Like anywhere, as long as you follow the laws and rules you won’t have any problems. That goes for any society, free or caged.

It just seems like those oil rich countries actually care about their citizens.

it truly is beautiful... when you are Arab. Your wife can have servants (slaves, there's no labour laws) and you are encouraged by the government to make more exploitative pieces of shyt. They have high earnings and relatively low populations and often no taxation. The entire world is subsidizing their standard of living in reality by oil dependency. It's just their time in the sun and they know it and they plan for what comes after. I can get you admiring what they have but it is built on top of the backs of others as opulence often is.
