Why the hell did Rorschach make Dr. Manhattan kill him????

What was the point? Because Mahnattan wasn't gonna let him leave and snitch. I mean he had the proof sent to the newspaper

I think the director/studio wanted a scene showing Dr. Manhattan kill somebody. The ending was anti climatic as fukk so they was like Manhattan aint do shyt the whole movie, he gotta kill somebody.

Guess he didn't have much faith in the newspaper to take it seriously maybe? Or even read it? I mean, if he just didn't act all crazy and act out he woulda made it out that bish in one piece. Just pretend to agree

Because Dr. Manhattan didn't know about Rorschach's Journal. Rorschach was never going to be able to keep his mouth shut.

And I don't know if it was talked about in the movie, but Dr. Manhattan could only see his OWN future, and had a problem seeing his own future past Adrian's tachyon field.

In the book, he basically said he vaguely saw himself killing "someone" in the snow. At the time, it didn't make much sense.

And being that Doc had already shown multiple times that even though he could see the future, he would still react to it like he had no idea when the time came....

yeah. He realized he was supposed to kill Rorschach in the snow... so he did.

Or maybe also because he knew if Manhattan killed him, he'd finally leave Earth and just go away, unaware of the potential nuclear disaster if the paper goes through with that news story

The newspaper story is an afterthought in that scene IMO.

Rorshach couldn't live with what they had done, which is why he walked out. Everyone else came to terms with it but him. He was gonna act out, he knew he had to die, thus he encouraged Dr. Manhattan to go ahead with it.

Some stuff don't play out well on the screen. I was hoping they didn't stick to the comic as much. Most graphic novels i read, I had no desire to see them turned into movies. This is one of them.
