Protecting people's civil rights and not endorsing white supremacy isn't an answer?

You nikkas are full of shyt sometimes
That's an answer to why Trump will hurt you. The question was how would Hilary help you.

I'm differentiating voting with an agenda vs voting out of fear.

Outside of Obama which was "HOPE" all poor Black people ever do is vote out of fear. We are influenced to vote against our own best interests out of fear ALL THE TIME. This whole election isn't about what Hilary will do FOR us., its about what Trump will to TO us.

Why do we think poor white people would be any different?

Trump is telling poor whites that Hilary is for open borders and wants to dump millions of Syrian terrorists onto U.S. soil. He's telling them that they don't have their jobs any more is because her husband cosigned NAFTA which allowed imports from Mexico and Canada to help cripple manufacturing.

So for a lot of poor/middle class whites, Trump IS the lesser of two evils.

So to answer OP question again. It's not that they really believe that Trump will help them. They think that Trump will protect them from Hilary hurting them.

Unfortunately, this election is a choice between who is going to hurt the least. Neither major candidate is going to help anybody but white supremacists and big business/MIC :francis: Of those two I know who I'd rather help :yeshrug:

Only the goofiest Hilltron stans actually believe she is going to do any good for the country. The record low favorability ratings speak to this.

This is an interesting line of argument -- comparing and contrasting how a politics of fear is used on both sides to reinforce racism and division.

This and the fact he has not released his taxes. He brags about not having previous political service history. His tax release would give us a more effective look into the only claim to fame he has. This should be a bigger issue than the wikileaks bull. The Repubs talk about the media focusing on Trump's words and not Clinton's past. If they really wanted his tax records, they could be gotten. He does not want us to see how crooked he is. The media has given him a huge pass on his taxes, business practices, and chose instead to focus on his sexual assault allegations. There are not many billionaires who have clean hands. Someone mentioned his opposition to trade agreements, yet fail to mention many of his products coming from overseas. Trump has used undocumented workers on numerous occasions, yet he is against allowing those same people a path to citizenship. He goes to the rust belt and talks about revitalizing the steel industry, yet many of his constructions used steel from China. He is the ultimate con man, because many of his supporters believe him, though his actions are in complete contrast to what he says. All politicians use fear. Unfortunately, fear is a greater motivator than facts.

Well I'm different, because my biggest fear as a Black man isn't that things will get worse. It's that things will remain the same.

I'll take worse in the short term if it forces us to really change how we move and build amongst each other.

I LOVE "negro wake up calls" it's our biggest motivational factor to adjust and fix what's broken WITH US... To me Trump would be the ultimate example of this.

We are starting to see the results of his rhetoric already..

This mentality discounts all the work already being done by black people to move forward. Just because you don't see things going on doesn't mean nothing's going on. Your suggestion is like telling a drug addict to overdose to get better :camby:

Terrible analogy.

But you're right about one thing. All the hard work has been done by Black people. Not Hilary or the Dems. They wont save us.

What's wrong with the analogy?

You sound like the conservative CACs I enjoy trolling. They think the ONLY way forward is to completely blow it all up and start over again. That's bullshyt. Do you do everything in life like that? You have an electrical problem in your house.... you demolish the house and build a new one? Problem with someone at work.... you blow up the building and start a new company? Don't let legitimate anger push you outside the realms of reason breh

From MY perspective the "drug" in your analogy is white American liberal policies. Besides "Jesus" that's been the only thing that Black people have committed to in mass for the past 50 years.

We need to go through the pain and trauma of going cold turkey, detox and attempt to get healthy.

I don't want to demolish the house. I want us leave the house and start to build our own.

Yup this is why deray sleeping at soros crib it's been in the works a long time. They see the anti-establishment trends in both parties (sanders and trump supporters), if these groups got together it would be the end of the 2 party system. Simple divide and conquer.

We don't have to elect a champion of white supremacy to do so. If that weren't the only other choice I'd be right with you. For the record I did not vote for Obama in 2012 so I'm not just talking shyt. If the GOP put up anybody with a shred of competence and sanity it would be a no brainer. But even Hillary "Superpredator" Clinton is better than Donald "Central Park 40 Million" Trump :yeshrug:

You are talking in huge generalities.... I'm just talking about this election. Electing Donald Trump is not going to help black people any more than electing Hillary Clinton :yeshrug:

It's easier for people to think they can get together but what binds them after you get the anti-establishment stuff out of the way? Trump's promise to cut 70 to 80% of regulations or Heritage Foundation approved judges. The political system requires building coalitions that have disparate interests, some people buy into 50 or 60% of what Sanders believe others a 100% , however for any of the policies to be realized it requires coalition building and often the coalition resides in the establishment of both parties. The division has long been part of the American system and it stems from the people themselves. The Republicans will not say anything about punishing big businesses that hire illegals but will target the illegals because they know they wont get far blaming some white executive at a large agricultural firm or a white farmer employing illegals.
