When you fight fire with fire by giving people a taste of their own medicine they will change their behavior.
The main reason we see ongoing violence being perpetrated against unarmed black people is simply because the aggressor does not expect any retaliation. When the aggressor knows they will be hit back five times harder after attacking us I guarantee you they will change their behavior.
