anyways, its because of the NY based hip hop media. And of course EC nikkaz havin their head up their asses in general. They just dont get it. I remember on a NY nikka askin John Starks was going into the HOF. it just gives you an idea of how lost EC nikkaz really are.

For a long time there was not really a unified midwest sound. There is definitely a west coast sound (g funk, gangsta rap etc.), east coast sound (break beats, boom bap etc.) and a southern sound (crunk, trap, whatever). But Nelly and his midwest swing sounded nothing like Em or Kanye.

You got drill music now out of Chiraq, but I dont know if that represents the midwest as a whole.

I mean If you wanna be real about it the south never had a single sound too. ATL- Trap,crunk, Memphis had crunk, Houston had chopped & screwed, NO - bounce, Miami Bass etc.

they just made their own lane Independently and the majors saw all the money that these cats were making .
