Terrible spacing whether Ibaka is on the ground or not. At no point should all 5 of your guys be loaded up on one side of the court. :hhh:
Spacing was absolutely TERRIBLE.

Also, I don't like how close to the sideline the play is developing.

Keep the ball in the middle to maximize your options

Because if KD has ever come up short on a big play, and Westbrook has ever scored in the clutch, then clearly Westbrook should take horrible contested threes against double-teams from there on out. :dead:
Who's sayin that tho?

C'mon Dank, don't become another one of deez idiots on TheColi bruh.

I'm not trying to break down this play because while it was bad, I suspect this is just a thread made to vindicate Kevin Durant for leaving to Golden State.

Ball should have been given to Fisher for the shot, Kawhi was there with KD and only 7 secs left, down 4..they needed a quick shot. Westbrook took a dumb shot. Coach should have came up with a better play

WHILE I RATHER HAVE DEREK FISHER SHOOTING THAT, A PASS TO FISHER STILL LEAVES DIAW RIGHT THERE WITH GINOBLI IN HELP POSITION

IT’S A BROKEN PLAY BECAUSE OF IBAKA.. BASEBALL NERDS LIKE @RAUL WHO CANT GRASP BASKETBALL BEYOND WHAT THEY SEE ON A STAT SHEET WILL NEVER CATCH THAT

The guy tried to use Durant committing a turnover in regulation as the rationale for Westbrook taking a terrible hero-ball shot in overtime. It was an awful justification. My response was over-the-top purely for rhetorical purposes, but I'm right.

Westbrook is making a terrible decision. That's objectively true.

:mjlol: if you think I'm going to argue with fukkers about Russy.

Play was fukked as soon as Ibaka fell down. Left a 4 on 5 situation where everybody loaded up one side of the floor. Guess it's all on Russy though that he didn't try to throw the ball back through multiple peolpe to get it back out top to Durant who had Leonard there to possibly break it up if by some miracle it did make it there.

Fisher is covered, Ibaka is on the ground, Durant has Leonard right there if he can even get the ball through everything, Reggie is going towards the rim, & the Thunder have no timeouts with the clock running down by 4.

After looking at it some more it’s not really on Russ. They were down 4 with no timeouts left it was gonna take a miracle to even tie the game. The play to get KD open broke down and with time ticking down, Russ had to put it up. I guess he could have thrown it back out to KD but kawhi was in the vicinity and that would have wasted more time. Russ got the best shot he could have given the circumstances :yeshrug:

Are you actually arguing that 2014 Duncan was so fast that Westbrook can't dribble back around him out on the 3pt line and get the ball back to Durant? :russ:

Even if Duncan is an impenetrable wall, that's why you don't dribble straight into the sideline to get yourself trapped. :snoop:

The play started on the OTHER side of the court, and the screens were made in the middle of the court. Durant had to chase Westbrook over to the left side because Westbrook was blindly dribbling into the sideline and Durant was trying to give him an out. Do you see in the replay where Westbrook stops for a moment, sizes up Duncan, and dribbles straight into the sideline and into the double-team?

Westbrook NEVER looks at his other options there. He NEVER orients the play towards the all-world sharpshooter on the team. He dribbles right into the sideline, right into an easy trap, and puts up an awful shot. That's objectively undeniable.
