part of his origin story is how his parents didn't support him or his music career. he had to couch surf until he made it
nevertheless i didn't know this part and it's possible he did grew up with a silver spoon then got cut off when he rapped but still used previous connections to get into the industry

It’s CRAZY to me how nobody commented on how this cat completely jocked ASAP Rocky’s whole dark skin, braids, weird/hood nikka persona. ASAP patented this dudes style with his first mixtape Livelong ASAP. Yet the white media promoted him like he was the new coming.

What do you mean nobody commented on it? Ppl were saying this all the time in like 2013-2015. Him and Rocky had legit beef over the shyt. Travis just made better music (or at least more commercial appealing) and won out overall

is this even a solid comparison? they are marketed differently from each other and are different type of artist. Kendrick is marketed as this introspective grounded guy and Travis the rap rockstar.

kendricks has qualities Travis doesnt have and Travis has qualities Kendrick doesnt. they both do. Given what type of artist they are, they have whats needed.

whatever type of qualitites" you can make a comparsion with these two that bypasses their archetype in music. Neither are that much better than each other. Tho i do agree with Crim that Travis has more personality in regards to music
