Why type of video game hasn't been done yet?

I don't think there's ever been a TRUE style vs style TMA(traditional martial arts) game.



And I'm talking detailed all the way down to belt rankings and everything.

I cannot think of a single game ever made where I could for instance pick a straight up Muay Thai fighter vs a straight up Kung Fu fighter..

Or a straight up Kickboxer vs a straight up Wing Chunner.

A Shotokan Karate fighter vs a Kyokushin Karate fighter.

A green belt in Goju Ryu Karate vs a yellow belt in shyto Ryu Karate.

A Judo fighter vs a Jiu Jitsu fighter.

A Tae Kwon Do fighter vs an Akido fighter.

A Wing Chun fighter vs a Mixed Martial Arts fighter.

A Boxer vs a Jeet Kune Do fighter.

A Greco Roman Wrestler vs a Ninjutsu fighter.



That's all Ive ever wanted, even lonnng before ever becoming involved in martial arts myself Ive wanted this.. yet, every gaming franchise has ignored creating such a game since the beginning of gaming times

When playing sports games, I always imagine how much fun it would be to control the player after the game as well and have the gameplay change to fit the moment....so you can drive around in his car (Forza gameplay), meet and f*ck groupies (The Sims gameplay), beat up paparazzi (Tekken gameplay) , go to trial for it (Phoenix Wright gameplay) and be back in time for the playoffs...

this is how i imagine "lobbies" will look one day.

you log into xbl/psn or whatever. you're in an open world with other people. it basically acts like a portal to other games. but i imagine it gta style where you can roam and fukk around if you want.

if you wanna play 2k, go down to the arena.. track for racing.. club if you just wanna be social.. arcade for some mini games or whatever, mall for some online shopping, etc.

no idea how you'd fit in all the genres but i'm sure they could come up with something

this. The closest we got maybe the virtua fighter series

Actually.... this game is the closest



This game was so dope when it dropped!

Basically your character was from the streets and he got jumped.... a man comes to defend you as you lose consciousness. When you wake you're in this village where you learn 4 disciplines of Martial Arts (Karate, Bo staff, Nunchuks, and Kendo). Eventually you go into this tourney to represent your house and master.

This shyt is dope because it takes real technique. Each concentration of fighting art there were 100 moves each, which was unheard of back then when most fighting games at best you'd have 12 moves that you'd just spam.

I dreamt for years that EA would bring this game back.... I mean this shyt was before they made Madden and Live and got on that "strictly" sports shyt.

But yes.... EA needs to bring this back... this game was the closest they had to a Bloodsport or Kickboxer style movie.

In the tourney, you faced off against various guys with many skill sets and this game was more about strategy and technique then button mashing.... especially in the later rounds.

And it had an ill twist at the end.
