This article is one of the main problems that plague the black community.

there is some unwritten rule that if you make something of yourself, you're obligated to be the savior for black america....and if you don't you're somehow less black.

at that, it's a fukking terrible article....it's literally the president of a HBCU crying " how come you didn't give us any money :sadbron:"

i could understand if it was some entitled self righteous HBCU student, but nah... this is the President of an HBCU.......dude should be flat out ashamed of himself, even trying to talk down or slight gay ass Dre and Jimmy for dropping 70 M's at any school.

Rappers dropping millions of dollars in strip clubs, on cars and jewelry...and you wanna press the one rapper who drops millions into a school ? :what:

Didn't Suge Knight say, Dr Dre wanted to be "white"?

Suge Knight :comeon: same dude who ran a multi-millionaire company in a ground by his non business sense

It's broke n!ggas like suge knight and others complain when another black man is living well.

and do i complain about jimmy lovine antics yeah sure.. but can u knock him for helping dre become one of the richest musicians in the industry when he left everything he had with suge knight.

I've heard from a couple of industry cats out here that on the low the Beats By Dre headphone line is a way for Dre to recoup money he owes to Iovine.. and that didn't come from my mouth

It doesn't have to be a black college, and fukk it it's his money...but I do think 70 million could do a lot more for the less privileged, disenfranchised, as a whole then a program at UCSD, spend it at community colleges, build a fukking college....donate to middle schools and elementary struggling to give kids free lunch, or pay teachers, donate so they have new computers and libraries, classrooms of a reasonable size....just seems misplaced to me.

:troll:

That shyt is even higher up the list of bullshyt conspiracy theories than the " Michael Jordan served a secret 2 year suspension for gambling" shyt you only hear in barbershops.

Like, the shyt is so outlandish, people would actually believe it :heh:

Your guess is as good as mine breh:manny: but the people I've heard say this were legit though.

If anyone could sell 10 million albums and still owe money for the studio charges incurred it would be Dre :russ: . . this probably sounds crazy but I really wouldn't put it past him to spend 25-50 hours per track. And even that might be a light figure

I'm not saying its true at all, it could be bullshyt but on the flipside what would make it this claim outlandish? People getting f*cked in the music industry is pretty fukking common since day one breh. You acting like its on par with aliens hiding out in Roswell New Mexico or some shyt. I'm sure Dre is papered up but at the same time I we don't know the fine print in his paperwork with Interscope either or some behind the scenes shyt as well.

Their whole plan is to set up an academy who's students might end up starting up the next facebook, or innovative tech that changes the world on a global scale.

how "misplaced" is that?

Rather see kids who have a very limited chance of 'making it' get a little help, then kids who have almost every chance get a lot of help. You make a good point though. But, ultimately I'd rather see kids in poor areas get enough to eat and have a safe place to learn, then the next Zuckerberg or whatever.
