Not extinct but the rise in non traditional consoles will soar
Emulation steamdeck good gaming laptops and pcs etc

Cloud options may soften the market for consoles over time or make the overall audience more broad, but I believe there will always be a significant portion of gamers who will prefer to play on a native device because some degree of input latency or connection fluctuations will always be there. Same reason why people still connect to directly to Ethernet despite the prevalence of wifi

I don’t think console gaming will ever die out unless we get to the point where our smartphones can run AAA games natively and can hook up to TVs/monitors on some switch shyt
