But he's the best hitter in the NL. But he doesn't chase bad pitches. But Dusty's using him wrong. But he's doing his job and getting on base. Singles hitters in the 3 hole deserve $225 million contracts.

Yes a down year power wise yet he still had 24 HRs not that far off his median and had a +900 OPS in a down year for him...

Dusty never had bad won/loss records. He's usually criticized for burning out pitchers, being too old school, and eating too many toothpicks. The trend is there in all sports. If you ignore the benefits of advanced stats, you aren't going to last long.
