I wouldn't have locked it. It was a interesting thread bringing discussion on both sides, without any racial conflict.
But I won't overrule a mod, but I saw nothing in it worth locking it over.

No one's forgetting that but it doesn't give everyone a free pass to post whatever they want. Everyone cries sohh, and that the sky is falling whenever something happens they don't agree with but let's not act like the OP would even be allowed to have an account on sohh never mind make the type of women bashing posts he does. I only know of one forum on the Internet that doesn't have rules or mods and that's a path we don't want to go down nor are we built for that. Everyone cries that the forum is overrun with trolls and trl fell off but when we try to clean it up we're "ending up like sohh"

Moving a thread to race track vs locking it so people cant comment at all are 2 different things. Lets be hard on him. All that passion has been crushed.
I don't disagree because this place needs a lot of improvement. I just think the approach to improvement is all wrong. People shouldn't have a free pass to post whatever, that won't and never has stopped people from trying. This section will always be overrun with certain topics because we're cramming everything else into this section. If you want people to play nice in TLR or present a more sanitized image then simply give the rougher characters a section for themselves, give the ladies a section for themselves without having to be chased from the forum, I bet if those two things are done TLR would improve big time and all mods will have to do is move irrelevant topics to the new sections.

Friends are just flexing their muscle to let mods know, the filth will not be tolerated. We gotta show what we the friends will and will not tolerate so new mods arent sitting back thinking they can just be willy nilly in their decision to disrupt discussions. Probably the worst lock of a thread in the last 365 Days.

I'd say if a thread is going to be locked, don't wait until it has 11k views to pull the trigger, any thread that lasted that long and has that number of replies and not a massive amount of trolling should stand. Locking it at the time it was lock was bullshyt.

While we may rehash some of the same topics, when there are new users here to discuss these topics it adds a different atmosphere to the same topics so while its the same, its really not the same, friends.
