what im trying to tell you is that you cant sweet talk a racist majority into making america more socialist without terrible compromises. the only reason we even got social security was because it excluded blacks. im the only one here citing actual historical precedent, you just have some notion in your head that we would have this and that if it werent for those darn SJWs. How did 7 million plus people of that racist majority who voted for the first Black president then turn around and vote for Trump? There wasn't any historical precedent for that either.
all they did was lurch from one side to the other after 8 terrible years of bush. they also opposed him at every turn when it came to obamacare which killed dems in the midseason and didnt even become somewhat popular until trump tried to take it away from their irrational racist asses. and through it all, blacks were going through race riots like i hadnt seen since rodney king.
look it up bro. A lot of southern democrats at the time were not fans of giving blacks the same labor protections.
In all fairness, they're right in a sense
Countries with fewer minorities usually have more generous welfare states. It's just that they're misblaming it on "identity politics" when it doesn't really have anything to do with that. The real issue is that people are just generally prone to scapegoating minorities for issues when there's a large enough population of them, and that's not specific to the US.
