We don't have to worry so much about who we mate with because our reproductive machinery is so plentiful. We also don't have to worry about the liability of becoming pregnant. This is why its typically women turning down men's advances for sex rather than the other way around.

When a man cheats he is simply trying to spread his seed which is to his advantage biologically.
