His example is stupid. If the guy's main job was to bag groceries and get the carts and he wasn't doin that, then by definition, he was a bad employee and hence got fired. A man doing everything he was supposed to do, and is always showing up (emotionally available, not being abusive, etc), means that he is a good man. he's doing his "job".
